Made Accessible Initiative
Rare Beauty was founded on inclusivity, and we’re expanding our definition with the Made Accessible Initiative. The initiative came about organically. Because of my personal experience, I’ve always been drawn to packaging that’s easy to open and close, hold, and apply. When we started hearing your feedback about how accessible you find our products, we wanted to know more.
The Made Accessible Initiative has several goals: First, we're partnering with the Casa Colina Research Institute to figure out what makes a product more accessible. We plan to use that information for future packaging decisions and make it widely available to the beauty industry so they might do the same.
Rare Beauty is made to feel good in. I hope you feel as good using it as I do.

Redefining
Inclusivity
To kick off the Made Accessible Initiative, we partnered with the Casa Colina Research Institute (CCRI), part of Casa Colina Hospital and Centers for Healthcare. CCRI conducted a study to identify features that make our products easy to open and close, hold, or apply for individuals with dexterity issues.
“This study gave our patients the chance to reintroduce makeup into their lives in a way that was more accessible. It showed that even with limited hand and arm mobility, you can still partake in the beauty community.”
